Kingda Ka was once the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, though its record speed was later broken.

As rumors swirl about the future of Kingda Ka, the fates of three other rides at Six Flags Great Adventure have become clear. Green Lantern, Twister Top, and the parachute ride are all slated for demolition, according to construction permits filed in Jackson Township on Tuesday.

Great Adventure announced Thursday, Nov. 14, that its introducing The Flash: Vertical Velocity in 2025. But to make room for the new addition, Kingda Ka and the Green Lantern rides will be taken down. Kingda Ka was ranked as the world’s tallest and fastest coaster, and has been ridden 12 million times since 2005.
