After following in his dad’s footsteps, Dallas Fincher will close his college career at his brother’s former school. The former Michigan State offensive lineman who entered the portal this week announced his transfer commitment to San Diego State via social media on Friday.

Dallas Fincher made the decision to transfer out of the Michigan State football program after five seasons with the Spartans. Fincher, a legacy recruit in the 2020 recruiting class, unfortunately could never crack the starting rotation in his time with MSU.

The San Diego State football team hosted 11 transfers over the weekend, and by Sunday afternoon the Aztecs received commitments from six of the players. On defense, SDSU added Grand Valley State (Mich.) edge Niles King, Utah State linebacker Tanner Williams and Chaffey College cornerback Carrington Pierce.

Michigan State football has lost a veteran member of their offense line to the NCAA transfer portal on Monday. After four seasons with the program, Dallas Fincher has made the decision to enter the transfer portal. Fincher was never able to crack the starting lineup in East Lansing, despite several injuries during his tenure.

Michigan State is in the market for a plethora of positions within the transfer portal market, with defensive back being one of those positions. In their search for more defensive backs, the Spartans have found a new prospect to offer.
