Citing national security issues, Ukrainian officials on Friday said the country's government agencies, military and critical infrastructure will be restricted from using the Telegram social media app.

Telegram has allegedly been actively exploited by Russian forces for cyber-attacks, phishing, malware distribution, tracking user locations

The Ukrainian government banned the Russian-owned telegram app for official communications. News agency Reuters cited sources familiar in reporting that government officials were ordered to stop using the app over security concerns.
