They’re banning alcohol on all LIRR and Metro-North trains. The LIRR is adding two westbound trains on the Babylon line and two on the Ronkonkoma line, all of which will stop at Grand Central Madison, just one block from the parade route along Fifth Avenue.

A tradition 70 years in the making thrives in downtown Bay City, warming the souls of those who watch despite an occasional winter flurry. Since 1955, the Bay City St. Patrick’s Day Parade has celebrated all things Irish as floats roll down Center Avenue and spectators line the streets.
