Popular Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has undergone surgery and is out of danger after he was stabbed by an intruder in his home overnight, his team has said. The attack took place early on Thursday morning in an upscale neighbourhood in the Indian city of Mumbai, where Khan lives with his family.

Actor Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand's film titled Jewel Thief. He has got as many as eight films in the pipeline. While not all are scheduled to begin this year, it is believed that the shooting schedules will have to be redesigned to fit Saif's recovery time.

Saif Ali Khan will be seen in Siddharth Anand's production venture Jewel Thief- The Red Sun Chapter. The shooting of the film kickstarted last year, and it is reportedly slated to release this year.
