Back in March, Nixxes’ PC conversion of Horizon Forbidden West provided a gorgeous and silky smooth experience for those lucky enough to own one of the best gaming laptops. The porting specialists then followed that up in May with the best PS5 port I’ve ever seen in Ghost of Tsushima.

So here are some photos. First, the PS5 Pro. Then, the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, including throwback grey versions of the PS5 Pro, PS5, DualSense, DualSense Edge, and PlayStation Portal — which all include a new version of Sony’s easter egg microtexture that includes a “30” next to the other PlayStation symbols.

After the initial PS5 Pro reveal inflamed online gaming groups, Sony has managed to calm the waters with its PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection. A Limited Edition version of the exorbitantly priced console designed after the glorious OG PlayStation, the nostalgia goggles have worked their magic once again.

This isn't the first Sony has used the intoxicating power of nostalgia to tempt its customers to part with their hard-earned cash; a decade ago it released a 20th-anniversary variant of the PS4, again resplendent in PS1 clothing.
