A 16-year-old boy from Kearney is facing consequences after a high-speed chase Monday night. The Nebraska State Patrol said a Corvette was clocked at more than 130 miles an hour on Second Avenue near the I-80 interchange just before 10 p.

The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Kearney teenager Monday night after a trooper clocked a Chevrolet Corvette traveling over 160 mph during a pursuit.

Just before 10 p.m., a Nebraska state trooper saw a Chevrolet Corvette going over 130 mph on 2nd Avenue in Kearney, near the Interstate 80 interchange. The Nebraska State Patrol said the teenager kept going south on the road, which turns into Highway 44.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, authorities apprehended a 16-year-old who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in a Chevrolet Corvette on Monday, January 29 — with the minor reportedly hitting speeds as fast as 168 miles per hour during the pursuit.
