The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a shooting suspect that sent one person to the hospital Friday evening. Around 5:35 p.m., deputies, who were assisting with an unrelated call, heard gunshots behind the Super X Market on North Beale Road in Marysville.

Officials said the shooting happened around 5:35 p.m. behind a grocery store near North Beale Road and Lowe Avenue.

When there is a deputy-involved shooting, the incident is investigated by the Yuba-Sutter officer-involved-shooting and critical incident investigation team, led by chief investigators of the Yuba and Sutter County district attorneys’ offices, according to the news release.
