Four golfers will hit Las Vegas on Tuesday as major winners from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf square off in "The Showdown."

Scottie Scheffler owned 2024, but he wasn't a factor in the most riveting finish of the golf season. That took place on Sunday at the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, where Bryson DeChambeau delivered arguably the shot of the year to claim a second major by one shot over Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy suffered one of the toughest defeats of his career when he lost the lead on the back nine, missing a putt a little more than two feet away on hole 16 and then another putt — this time from four feet — on the last hole to finish behind DeChambeau.
