Liverpool have quickly turned to Rodrygo after ending their interest in Alexander Isak. With Luis Diaz leaving for Bayern Munich in a deal worth around £65million, the Premier League champions were expected to reinvest the funds in the Newcastle striker.

Liverpool have reportedly reached out to Real Madrid star Rodrygo in the aftermath of their failed transfer bid for Alexander Isak. Newcastle received a bid upwards of £100million for their wantaway striker, which was rejected and a figure of £150m was pointed at, but the Reds have since ended their interest this summer.

Madrid want around €100m for the Brazil international, who can play all across the frontline. It’s been claimed in the Spanish media that Rodrygo prefers a move to Liverpool - but if the deal concerning Isak goes ahead then he will have to look elsewhere.
