On Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Central and Northern Oregon Cascades that begins at 8 p.m. Heavy snow is expected above 4000 feet with total accumulations up to 20 inches, the agency said. NWS Portland and NWS Pendleton say the coordinated warnings will stay in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Storm Warning has been issues by the National Weather Service for the Cascades and the majority of Central Oregon, specifically the higher elevations. Areas like Sisters, Sunriver, and La Pine are expected to see 3-6 inches of snow by Tuesday morning and the Cascades could see upwards of about a foot.
