Rams head coach Sean McVay provided a rather concerning update on Matthew Stafford's back issue as the NFL regular season inches near.

As Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has back soreness with limited availability throughout the NFL offseason. Coach Sean McVay gave an injury update on his starter this weekend continuing the messaging that Stafford is "week-to-week." Giving an overall update, McVay said, "Week-to-week. I wish I could help you out more with that."

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Stafford is dealing with an aggravated disc and has gotten an epidural to help deal with the pain. Stafford is considered week-to-week, but the plan is for him to be ready for the Rams’ regular-season opener against the Houston Texans.
