Campaigning ends for Jharkhand Assembly elections and Wayanad Lok Sabha bypolls with high-profile candidates in the fray.

Bypolls will be held today in 31 assembly seats across 10 states and Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, from where Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is making her electoral debut.

Along with bypoll on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, byelections on 31 Assembly seats across 10 states, including MP and West Bengal, is also underway.

Voting for the Wayanad Lok Sabha and Chelakkara assembly bypolls began at 7 am on Wednesday with people turning up early to cast their votes. Priyanka Gandhi, fielded by the Congress, is making her electoral debut in Wayanad against CPI(M)'s Sathyan Mokeri and BJP's Navya Haridas.

All eyes are on the crucial bypolls in Wayanad Lok Sabha seat and 31 assembly constituencies across 10 states scheduled to take place on Wednesday. The bypolls will be held alongside voting in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections.
