The Washington Nationals have continued their dismissal of pitchers in exchange for future assets. This may be the Nats' last deal before the MLB trade deadline. Midday on Thursday, they traded away veteran relief star Kyle Finnegan to the Detroit Tigers, per ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Finnegan, 33, was acquired from the Washington Nationals for a pair of High-A pitching prospects – 2024 draft picks Josh Randall (ranked No. 15 in the Tigers' system, per MLB Pipeline) and R.J. Sales.
