A day after President Donald Trump claimed a deal was reached with GOP holdouts, the House was yet again locked in a standstill over moving forward on a trio of crypto bills -- breaking a record for the longest House vote in recent history.

The fate of long-awaited cryptocurrency legislation in Congress was cast into doubt Tuesday, as a procedural vote to consider the measures was shot down by lawmakers.

“Digital asset market structure legislation is long overdue,” said GT Thompson, the Republican chairman of the House agriculture committee, in a statement.
