Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to seize parts of Gaza if Hamas did not release hostages, while the militant group warned they would return "in coffins" if Israel did not stop bombing the Palestinian territory.

Thousands of Palestinians marched in northern Gaza Wednesday, many chanting against Hamas in a rare display of public anger on the second day of anti-war protests. Israelis also protested against the war outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's home.

The Israeli military has ordered the evacuation of parts of Gaza City as it steps up its renewed offensive against Hamas
