Under the dazzling lights of Hollywood, Black excellence took center stage at the 2025 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards, held on February 27, at the Fairmont Century Plaza.

As Cynthia Erivo accepted her honors at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood awards, she offered up words of affirmation for the Black women that filled the ballroom, encouraging everyone to dream big and to “take up space.”

Tia Mowry was among the brightest stars that showed up and showed out at Essence's annual Black Women in Hollywood event on Feb. 27. For the occasion, Mowry elevated her look with a sharp, tailored blazer from Anine Bing.

The Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards was a "love letter of sincere reverence, camaraderie and celebration" for Black women in entertainment, and every celebrity in attendance looked phenomenal. In the words of T.S. Madison, everybody was "dark skin, light skin, beige, fluorescent beige" and beautiful with a capital B.

H&M also dressed musician Moses Sumney, tastemaker Bevy Smith, and actor Tramell Tillman for the prestigious affair in Los Angeles.
