Canada Post says operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 17 after the Canada Industrial Relations Board ordered a return to work. The board determined negotiations are at an impasse after two days of hearings.

Canada Post and the union representing striking workers took part in weekend hearings by the country’s labour board on whether the two sides have reached an impasse. As the work stoppage hits one month, the Crown corporation said it will notify Canadians “as quickly as possible” when its operations resume.
