After the mysterious killing of a Vermont town official, his wife and his stepson, a person of interest was found with "some blood on them" on the roadside.

A State Police spokesperson said investigators had detained an individual “during the initial stages of the investigation, but that person is no longer being detained.”

Vermont State Police continue their fourth day of investigations at a home on Route 133 in Pawlet, where troopers found three people dead Sunday. All three deaths were ruled homicides, but police said they have no suspect in custody.
