BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Cam Carter scored 27 points and LSU beat Arkansas 78-74 on Tuesday night. LSU’s Jordan Sears made a pair of free throws to end the scoring with 21 seconds left. Arkansas missed its next two shots and had its last shot blocked.

Arkansas basketball collapsed in the second half and is now 0-4 in the SEC after a disappointing road loss to LSU.

LSU’s offense was sluggish to start against Arkansas (11-6, 0-4), missing its first seven shots. Corey Chest got the Tigers on the scoreboard with a baseline drive for a two-hand dunk at the 15:37 mark of the first half.

Prior to losing to LSU, the Razorbacks were among the first four teams out of ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi's updated NCAA Tournament bracket, and BartTorvik.com gave Arkansas less than a 25.3% chance to make the tournament with an at-large bid.
