Air India on Tuesday afternoon cancelled its Ahmedabad-London Gatwick flight citing "operational issues". No further explanation has been offered by the airline, passengers said. Sources at Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhai Patel Airport said passengers will be re-routed.

The cancellation comes amid heightened scrutiny of the airline's operations following last week's incident, which claimed over 250 lives and raised serious concerns about aviation safety protocols.
