The US is warning travelers to think twice before booking trips to parts of Southeast Asia. A new advisory highlights rising risks in Cambodia and Thailand, tied to an escalating border conflict that has already claimed dozens of lives.

The U.S. State Department has raised travel advisories for Cambodia and Thailand to level two due to border conflict.

Since the exchange of fire began, Thailand has ordered the closure of its entire 817km border with Cambodia, and several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, the US, and the UK, have warned against travelling to the areas nearby.
