Very easy to buy tickets at VN, or in conjunction with one of the passes described on its site, which also gives complete info about visiting Villa Necchi and 3 other "house museums" (casemuseo) in Milan. Also, see info re: Milan's Museum Pass and Milanocard, both of which I found very much worth the money. Note discounts for holders of certain Metro and Trenord commuter train tickets. And, don't forget Milanocard, which I've found a pretty good tourist card, which includes VN, many more museums, and a variety of public transit options. Be sure to visit the Novecento, Gallerie d'Italia, Pinoteca Ambrosiana, Brera, and MOMA art museums. Really outstanding collections in beautiful settings. And, if you like history, a visit to the Risorgimento museums, in Milano and in any other Italian city that has one - most larger ones do - will put you in historical heaven. Then, finish it off with a drink overlooking the Navigli, at Rookies if you're craving some hoops, or a visit crosstown to Offsides, another of Milan's good sports bars. March Madness, Italian style!
