Hi. Everyone I'm seeking thoughts or advice on flea and tick treatment I have a weimaraner 2years old and he loves hikes and walks out in the woods tall grass, fields etc. My problem is I want to protect him from these critters. But my breeder is more holistic and says that giving them...
It is true that flea and tick shampoos only kill live bugs and do not treat the life cycle. And yes it is dangerous to use flea shampoo in conjunction with topical drops or any other treatment. But to make matters worse, the chemicals in ALL of the over the counter flea products are posionious and lethal. Do not use over the counter flea products.
I wanted to get a flea/tick prevention for her just incase. I'm so nervous about giving it to her. Anyone have any advice?

More out of curiosity than anything. I am pretty sure its a deer tick. Going to have to take him to vet on monday to get some shots for lyme disease :( any ideas?
I thought at first it might be a tick, but since I've never had a tick on my dogs,I looked online, and all those seem to have a head or legs or something, this doesn't.
The breeder recommends a Seresto collar for flea and tick control. One obvious problem there is that they are good for 8 months, but aren't likely to fit for more than a month.
